Royal Gorge Bridge
Wow. What a tall bridge. It is the world's highest suspension bridge in the world. When I first went here, I was only 7 and I was freaked out by how high from the Arkansas River at the bottom it was. It is 1,053 ft. (321 m) high. It was made in 1929 from June 5 th to late November 1929 and only cost $350,000. It is the most visited tourist attraction in Canon City , Colorado .
There are also a few amusement park rides that you can ride. There is the aerial tram which is also the world's longest single-span aerial tram.
There is one ride in particular that all those adrenaline junkies would really love, and that is the Royal Rush Sky coaster. It's this free fall tower (one of only 87 in the whole world) that is 100 feet tall and is freaking awesome!! It makes you swing down at 50 miles per hour over the Royal Gorge . It was also named the scariest sky coaster in the world.
There is also a great place that is part of the Royal Gorge attraction called Buckskin Joe Frontier Town and Railway!!! When you step into this area you will feel like you are in the Wild West with gunfights and cowboys. It is an authentic replicate of the town Buckskin Joe.
